{"id":4384,"date":"2020-10-14T20:00:38","date_gmt":"2020-10-14T18:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apdl.lu\/?p=4384"},"modified":"2020-10-14T23:36:31","modified_gmt":"2020-10-14T21:36:31","slug":"enquete-letzblock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apdl.lu\/en\/2020\/10\/enquete-letzblock\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey L\u00ebtzBlock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>L\u00ebtzBlock, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letzblock.com\/\">the Luxembourg Blockchain &amp; DLT Association<\/a>, is currently drafting a paper on \u201csmart contracts\u201d legal framework in Luxembourg and has recently launched a survey to invite interested stakeholders to share their views on this topic(with a focus on legal and regulatory matters).<\/p>\n<p>As a preliminary remark, the starting point for our survey was the lack of a common understanding among developers of smart contracts and the legal profession over the meaning of the term \u201csmart contracts\u201d and the legal uncertainties deriving from this lack of consensus.<\/p>\n<p>L\u00ebtzBlock is therefore proposing a definition that has the potential to satisfy the requirements of both lawyers and blockchain and smart contracts\u2019 developers and is seeking wider public consultation on the definition which is given below:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>A smart contract is a computerised transaction protocol between two or more parties.
